Can agricultural navigation be transferred between tractors?

This is one of many questions asked before buying navigation. Many farmers who have large farms do seasonal work like sowing or fertilizing. When using different tractors for each of these tasks, every navigation user wants to be able to transfer it between machines. So the question is, is that possible?
How does it work?
The NanoSteer navigation doesn't have to be tied to just one tractor. It consists of several main components: the steering wheel, a tablet, and an antenna. They're very mobile, so they can be moved from one machine to another. Especially if a farm uses several tractors, for example:
- spraying
- fertilizing
- cultivation
This way, the system works all year round, not just during one specific season.

What does it look like in practice?
Transferring navigation to another tractor involves calibrating the system, because every machine has a different wheelbase, steering system, and many other parts. To get the highest possible driving accuracy, it's better to carry out this procedure. Another thing needed to switch tractors is buying a mounting bushing that fits the specific steering wheel.
So what about accuracy? After each properly performed calibration, the navigation guides the tractor with an accuracy of up to 2.5 cm, no matter which tractor it's in.

Is it worth investing?
Of course it's worth it, mainly considering that the costs will pay off very quickly. It's an ideal solution for farmers with large farms, where fieldwork lasts all year. However, small farms are not excluded, because the cost of such navigation is only 7,900 PLN net, so every simple trip gives us a profit and covers the costs of fuel, fertilizers, etc.
